It has been a while! VT, Wedding, Blue Mountain Lake

I haven't shared this blog with many folks, so few people know what excitement they're missing...  LOL!  I really created this blog for photos and musings of my travels once I have the van, but I also wanted to record the van build.  And then I may as well record this part of my nomadic lifestyle.  Right now that means Monroe, NY, Vermont, and Blue Mountain Lake.

I have it made with these three places for my rotation.  Sue, being kind enough to share her lovely home with me.  Friends in VT hosting me when I visit, and our camp at BML.  However, being real, with the smoke from the fires, the oppressive heat and humidity, and the flooding, it's hard to do a whole lot.  When the smoke was a problem, I didn't want to do too much strenuous stuff, and with the heat and humidity, Zoe can't do much (nor can I), and then with all the rain, that has put a damper on hiking in the morning.  Poor me, right?  So many in all these areas struggling with the effects of the heavy rains and flooding.  So much rebuilding to do.  And I'm whining about not having much to do.

Photos:  Since my last post, I traveled to VT for Elena and Danielle's wedding and spent a week and a half in VT, which was awesome.  I got to spend time with lots of friends i hadn't seen for many months, but unfortunately didn't take many photos.  On the drive to VT, it reminded me how beautiful VT is and that I really do miss it.  After VT, I spent a week, including my b'day at Blue with my sisters and brother in law.  And then I had two delicious days alone at the lake. I loved every minute of the time with my friends and family, but I definitely needed some time to recharge being the introvert that I am…  I can’t remember the last time I had such a run of social activity!

AHHH, VERMONT BEAUTY!

So many wonderful things said about Elena, my lovely niece in the center, before her wedding day.

Happy Birthday to me!  My special b'day cake - yellow cake, whipped cream frosting, with blueberries and strawberries for the 4th of July!

Marta and Annie come to visit!  I met Marta about 8 years ago at a dog trainers conference and via Facebook realized that she and Annie travel in a van for long stints with their dogs.  It was so fun having them hang out with me and Sue at Blue!

They introduced me to a new (to me) drink - Moscow Mule.  So refreshing on a hot day!
